Youth Volunteer Day  -  Youth Volunteers

Join us for a hands-on conservation project focused on enhancing wildlife habitat in a beautiful natural area! Volunteers will work alongside agency staff and partner organizations to restore forage areas by planting native trees and shrubs, constructing protective tree cages, and removing invasive species that threaten the ecosystem. Invasive plants- like scotch broom and hawkweed- outcompete native vegetation and reduce the quality of habitat for wildlife. By participating in this effort, you’ll directly support the health and sustainability of local species, including large mammals like elk and deer. Volunteer Activities May Include: Planting native trees and shrubs Building and installing tree cages Removing invasive plants using hand tools Supporting site cleanup and restoration tasks Additional Info: Dry camping may be available nearby for multi-day participants (pending approval) All are welcome—no affiliation or membership required This opportunity may be eligible for conservation volunteer hours or service credits, where applicable
