- Description:
Facilitators guide restorative processes that bring together people affected by harm, people responsible for it, and members of the community. Working alongside staff and a co-facilitator, you help create a safe, structured space for honest conversation, accountability, and repair.
- Key Responsibilities & Activities:
- Prepare for each case with staff and your co-facilitator, including reviewing case materials shared after you are confirmed
- Lead preparation meetings with participants before each process
- Co-facilitate restorative circles and conferences
- Guide participants in developing agreements that address the harm and support repair
- Maintain strict confidentiality about all case information
- Debrief with staff after each session and log your hours in Offero
- Time Commitment:
About 4-6 hours per case, including preparation, facilitation, and debrief. Sessions are scheduled based on case needs and your availability, with a minimum commitment of one year after completing training.

Your work gives people a meaningful alternative to traditional court outcomes. Facilitators help those affected by harm be heard, help those responsible take accountability, and help reduce the likelihood of future harm in our community.
- Requirements:
- Must be 18 or older
- Completion of our facilitator training program
- A cleared background check and fingerprinting
- A signed confidentiality agreement
- Strong listening skills and comfort with difficult conversations
- A commitment to impartiality and to the principles of restorative justice
